Jardin Aux Fleur
Tasks: Logo Design and Brand Development
Jardin Aux Fleur is a garden design company based in Leicestershire. During their initial setup Jardin Aux Fleur came to me for a logo and the development of their brand.
5 initial designs were created as can be seen below.

The development process then went through three stages:
- Choice of Symbol
- Choice of Colour
- Brand Name Development
These stages can be seen below.

Over 20 symbols were presented to the client including flowers, trees and other foliage. The final choice rested on an abstract japanese style tree.

The green background in the initial design was requested by the client to be changed to a ‘duck-egg blue’ and this choice was confirmed in the colour development stage when a variety of colours were presented to the client.

The final name chosen was Jardin Aux Fleur, roughly translating as Garden In Flower which also incorporates the founder’s initials. Although the use of lettering in the same style as the symbol was not selected for the final logo design it was reserved for future use.
The final logo can be seen below along with a number of formats that the logo was adapted for including, 100×100 icon, web banner and vector format.

Thanks Maxime, that is good to know! At the time of creating this we didn’t have a good french translator to hand.
